What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?

PARTNERSHIPS+

THERAPY

Partnerships+ Therapy focuses on addressing relational and emotional challenges within various relationship structures. It involves exploring past and present dynamics to understand their impact on your collective well-being, using therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Conducted by licensed professionals, this therapy aims to heal and strengthen your relationship, diagnose and treat relational issues, and improve emotional connection. The therapy sessions adhere to strict ethical and confidentiality guidelines, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all partners involved.

INTIMACY

COACHING

Intimacy Coaching is a goal-oriented and future-focused approach that helps individuals and partners enhance their emotional and physical intimacy. This coaching emphasizes creating action plans and strategies to improve communication, deepen connection, and achieve specific intimacy goals. Unlike therapy, Intimacy Coaching does not delve into past traumas or diagnose mental health conditions. Instead, coaches use motivational techniques and positive psychology to guide clients, offering a flexible and supportive environment. By focusing on the present and future of your intimate relationships, Intimacy Coaching aims to foster personal fulfillment and mutual satisfaction.
