Meet Leslie Trentham
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LMSW
I believe healing happens through connection, safety, and the courage to explore your inner world. My practice is grounded in a relational, eclectic and radical approach. With this, and my training in EMDR, I specialize in supporting women who have experienced trauma, including childhood trauma, relational wounds, and the aftereffects of overwhelming life events.
I approach my work with a deep awareness of how intersectional identities, such as race, culture, sexuality, gender expression, socioeconomic class, and ability, shape the way trauma is experienced, held in the body, and processed over time. Trauma does not happen in a vacuum, but rather, unfolds within systems and relationships that impact how we adapt to learn to survive. Honoring these layered identities and the strength of their resilience is central to my practice. It allows me to support you in your understanding not just of what happened, but how it has lived within you and how it continues to influence your sense of safety, worth, and belonging.
Together, we create a space where your story can be held with compassion, curiosity, and dignity. I draw from a wide range of modalities and perspectives, allowing our work to be flexible, responsive, and deeply attuned to who you are, not just what you’ve lived through.
Whether we’re using EMDR to gently reprocess painful memories, exploring your connection to your body, or building new relational experiences in the room, my goal is to support you in reconnecting with your mind, body and spirit. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we can uncover what has been lost to trauma and move toward a life that feels freer, fuller, and truly your own.
